Signature line, scan or type name

14 June 2025 I was at a wedding in Merta, Nagaur side.

Helper ran the shop. He made simple invoice for a hotel that buy 8 night lamps, the small USB ones.

He typed my name in the signature place. Arial. For Mobile Point. Authorised signatory. He watch too much YouTube.

Hotel accounts sent the paper back. This is not a signature. Who signed. Bring stamp. Or come.

I came back from wedding with a stomach full of sweets and a unpaid bill of 3,600.

Signature line, what actually happened

I printed again. Rubber stamp of shop. Blue pen signature. My real bad handwriting.

They accepted.

Typed name is a name. Signature is a mark a person made.

Office people still like the mark. Or at least a stamp they seen before.

I don't scan my signature and let helper paste on every PDF when I am in Merta.

If helper has my scan, helper can sign a 80,000 bill while I eat sweets.

I don't like that.

When I am in shop, I sign after print. One second. Pen is 5 rupee.

When I am not in shop, helper can give unsigned draft, write awaiting owner sign, or he WhatsApp me the PDF, I say okay, I sign after I return, hotel wait.

Hotel didn't want to wait in June. So helper typed Arial. Fail.

Now rule. No owner, no final signed bill for company. They can take estimate. They can pay later.

Night lamps can wait. My scan cannot live on his phone.

BillOnDesk is not GSTN. It don't need a digital signature of a class 3 dongle for my small draft.

I am not doing that. Too big for my shop.

I sign like a human. Stamp like a shop.

What I put on the line.

For, shop name. Signature. Name in block letters under the sign, because nobody read my sign. It look like a wave.

Block letters help. That is typing okay, under the sign, not instead of sign.

Helper can type the block name. I still wave the pen.

Stamp. Shop name, phone, GSTIN. I got it made in Nagaur market, 250 rupee.

Stamp on both copies. Customer and shop.

If ink dry, I don't press fake dark with sketch pen. I re-ink. Sketch pen stamp look like a threat.

April 2026 I still don't use a photo of my sign as a PNG on the PDF.

A cousin in Deedwana did. His worker made a extra bill. Cousin found at return time. Ugly month.

Pen is safer.

Customer sometimes want my sign on the screen, then print.

I sign on paper. Paper is the thing they file. Screen sign is a picture.

If they only want PDF, I print, sign, stamp, photo, send photo of signed paper.

Or scan if the studio is open.

Photo of signed paper is better than Arial.

Some company say, we need signed PDF, not photo.

Then I go studio, scan, send. Extra 10 rupee. Bill get paid. Okay.

I don't draw Ashoka as a signature. I don't put a round seal like a government.

Shop rubber stamp is rectangle. Simple.

Authorised signatory I only write if it is me, the owner.

How I print the simple invoice

Helper is not authorised. He is helper. He should not write that word.

I told him, that word is not a decoration.

He said sorry. He is a good boy. YouTube is strong.

For cash memo of 150 rupee, sometimes I only stamp, no sign, if line is long.

For hotel, mill, school, I sign.

If the paper is rent receipt, I always sign. Landlord mark.

If quotation maker, I may only stamp, because it is offer. When they accept, invoice get sign.

My choice. Hotel wanted sign even on quote. I signed. Customer is hotel.

Don't sign blank paper. Helper almost gave blank letterhead to a man who said I will fill items.

I shouted from wedding on call. Don't.

Blank signed paper is a open well. Anyone throw anything.

Sign after items, after total, after date.

Look at total, then sign. If total is 36,000 not 3,600, I would see. Helper typed extra zero? I check.

In June it was 3,600. Okay.

Thumb impression. One farmer wanted that. I said I am not doing thumb on a lamp bill. Stamp plus sign.

He took it.

Digital name at bottom of email is not invoice signature. I send PDF, I still sign the PDF content on paper if they need.

Two worlds. Chat. File.

I keep the pen tied to the stapler with a string. Shop joke. Pen don't walk.

Without pen, people type Arial.

I am not a CA. Some companies need DSC on GST portal. That is their filing. Not this draft.

Don't mix DSC with shop bill sign. Different planet.

If a customer ask, put director sign, I am not a director. I am proprietor. I write proprietor.

Wrong designation is also a spelling. Like Pont and Point.

April 2026 a new hotel uncle said, typed name is enough in our SOP now, after corona, we take PDF.

I still stamped. Extra. He didn't mind.

I would rather extra stamp than extra rejection.

If ink goes on the item table, reprint. Dirty stamp on amount look like change.

Stamp in the signature corner. Not on the rupees.

I taught helper. Corner. Wave. Block name already typed.

Three steps. 20 seconds.

The 3,600 came. Sweets digested. Rule stayed.

A school in Degana asked sd/- typed, like old government letters.

I typed sd/- and still signed. They took it. Typed sd/- alone, last year, they didn't take.

So sd/- is a hint, not a person.

Helper once WhatsApp me a photo, he traced my old sign on a new bill with pencil then pen.

I said tear. Tracing is also not me on that day. If total is wrong, my traced wave still sit there like I agreed.

I go back, see total, then wave.

Scan of sign, I don't keep in the tool. Tool is browser. I don't upload my sign into a site.

BillOnDesk say draft in browser, no account. Still I don't put my sign image.

Paranoid. Okay. Pen exist.

If you are a town shop, tie the pen. Stamp the corner. Write your wave.

Don't let Arial be you when you are at a wedding.
